Gabe Genovesi graduated from Ohio University in December 2019. Following graduation he accepted a job with Learfield IMG College as a studio host. In the winter of 2020, he studio hosted for University of Washington basketball and St. John's University basketball.
In three and a half years at Ohio, he dedicated his time and effort to honing his craft as a play-by-play broadcaster, podcast host and color commentator while also gaining experience in interviewing, media relations, audio/video editing and social media.
Genovesi’s play-by-play work was recognized by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America (STAA) all three years as a student at Ohio. In 2017, he was ranked 17th in the country in the STAA Jim Nantz collegiate broadcasting competition. He was one of only two freshmen recognized in the nation, and the only broadcaster in the state of Ohio to be ranked in the Top 20.
In 2018, Genovesi earned an Honorable Mention from STAA and was one of just two broadcasters in the state of Ohio to be ranked in the Top 30 nationally. Then, in 2019, he once again received an Honorable Mention and was the only broadcaster in the state of Ohio to be ranked nationally.
